Injection Molding

PARTS AND PROTOTYPES FOR INDUSTRIAL AND DECORATIVE APPLICATIONS

Plastic parts can be made with an incredible variety of materials for an array of advantages, tolerances, and capabilities. Word-for-word, thousands of plastic parts can be made using a single mould, expediting the production process and keeping overhead costs down. For rapid production of plastic parts look no distant – We offer streamlined plastic injection moulding services all in-house. Plastic injection moulding is the preferred process for creating custom plastic parts for nearly any industry including:

  • Automotive
  • Aerospace
  • Home Goods
  • Medical
  • Robotics
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Defence
  • Engineering

Plastic parts are by no means exclusive to any specific industry or purpose. If you can envision it chances are we can create it. Plastic injection moulding is a fantastic solution for both small-batch manufacturing and low-volume production.

Plastic injection moulding produces high-quality plastic parts:

  • Available in a vast variety of custom shapes and sizes

  • Able to weather harsh environments and temperatures

  • Built to withstand unique and extreme tolerances

The Plastic Injection Molding Process

DESIGN

A plastic moulded part may be the centrepiece of your project, or a small part sowed deep within the workings of a complex and larger machine. In every instance, parts begin with a great idea.  If you have detailed CAD designs ready to upload or just a simple drawing on a napkin, our designers can work with you to determine the measurements and materials appropriate for your part. Once a design is prepared your mould will be created.

MOULD CREATION

Our design team sends mould specs to our CNC department. Here our engineers and operators build the mould used in assembling your plastic parts. The mould is essentially a hollowed-out hole built to incredibly precise measurements using our bank of advanced CNC and EDM machines, with supporting technology. Completed moulds are used in the moulding stand.

MOULDING

Prepared moulds are filled with plastic pellets, then superheated and injected to form a solid, flawless mass. Once the mass cools you have a plastic part perfectly representing your design.
Depending on your requirements you may wish to consider a process called Overmoulding. Overmoulding is the layering of multiple polymers for added colour, texture, and/or solidity.
A single mould can be used to produce thousands of plastic units.  Completed moulded plastic parts are ready for additional finishing.

FINISHING AND SHIPPING

Depending on your requirements and preferences, many surface surfaces and protective coatings may be applied to complete different cosmetic and functional results you want or require. Completed parts are carefully packaged, shipped, and tracked ensuring you receive parts quickly, and in clean condition.
